Overnight Chocolate Oats


WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • 1/3 cup Oats

  • 3/4 cup Soy Milk (Replace with milk of your choice)

  • 1/3 cup Unsweetened Coconut Yogurt

  • 1 tbsp Ground Flax Seed

  • 1 tbsp Cacao Powder

  • 1/2 serving Vegan Chocolate Protein Powder (10g protein)

  • 1/2 Banana (Sliced) 

  • 1 tbsp Walnuts (Divided)

  • Maple Syrup to Serve - Optional


LET'S GET COOKING:

  1. Place the oats, milk, yoghurt, ground flax, cacao powder and protein powder into a glass jar and stir well. Cover and store in the fridge overnight. 

  2. Remove from the fridge and top with the sliced banana and walnuts. Add a drizzle of maple syrup to taste, if desired.


PRO TIPS:

Coconut Yoghurt Benefits: Considered a fermented food providing beneficial bacteria to support gut health. Choose UNSWEETENED, not flavoured/sweetened. This helps to avoid unnecessary “added” sugars. 

Nut Free: replace the walnuts with sunflower seeds.


Aim for 30 different plant-based foods each week for gut nourishment and diversity.
